What is the Obelisk?

Obelisk is the equivalent of the boss of the game, beating it is basically required to progress.

Each level will grant access to more features, including new upgrades, additional game mechanics, and entire zones.

Explanation of the stats:

Hp: The number of hit points the obelisk has, you need to lower this to 0 to beat an obelisk. Increases with each obelisk killed.

Armor: Reduces your damage by how much armor the obelisk has. This affects your damage before crits, so if you do 0 damage, regardless of your crit damage, you can't do any damage. Increases with each obelisk killed, and can be lowered with upgrades and artifacts

Fight Duration: The time you have to damage the obelisk. Starts at 30 seconds, but can be increased with a certain legendary relic. Any damage you deal is saved across all attempts, so you do not need to defeat the obelisk in one try.

Cooldown: You have to wait 20 minutes between each attempt. This can be sped up with an artifact.

How to defeat it?

First, you need your pickaxe damage to be higher than the armor of the obelisk (the items "Rock Cake" and "Primal meat" can help).

After that, if you can damage the obelisk, activate all damage-boosting items that boost crit chance, mining speed, etc (Apple, Banana Coffee, Pike, Rock Cake, Juicy Plums, Primal meat) and try to beat the obelisk.

There is no limit to how many times you can fight the obelisk, but progress is largely hindered by the armor stat. If you want, you can use items to increase your damage, but remember: Critical attacks MULTIPLY your damage. If you deal 0 damage, anything multiplied by 0 is 0.

The following rewards are gained after defeating the obelisk:

• Obelisk level +1
• Level cap +5
• Gems equal to 50+(10(Level)-1)
• A new feature
• Access to the next obelisk

• So far, the obelisk is the only combat system in the game.
• There are only 15 different obelisk designs. Obelisk 16+ will loop back to design one.
  • This explains the floating L1 obelisks that surround the L15 obelisk.

• Obelisk 10 can be a choke point for inexperienced or impatient players due to the sudden spike in hp and armor stats.
• Drones are disabled during the fight.
• Bombs don't deal damage to obelisk
